Adoption of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns (10YFP).
At the U.N. Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) in 2012, Heads of State adopted the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns (10YFP). This global framework for action to accelerate the shift towards sustainable consumption and production (SCP) in both developed and developing countries. We provide key information on the sustainable consumption and production approach as well as on the 10YFP, its platforms and its network of nearly 700 actors. We also highlight the work of partners acting together within the six 10YFP accelerators and highlight the activities that are being conducted to support countries in shifting towards sustainable patterns of consumption and production.
