The first week of Part 2 of the “Introduction to Resilience for Development MOOC: Applying Resilience Thinking to National Biodiversity Plans” MOOC kicked off with a highly motivating webinar, titled “Delivering on global biodiversity-related agreements: Using NBSAPs to translate global ambition to national action” and presented by Tristan Tyrrell, Programme Officer at SwedBio at the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
In the course room, on the Conservation Training platform, Lesson 1 provided an overview of some of the current major challenges for humanity, highlighting the responses at the international and national levels, and introduced the potential of using a resilience thinking approach as a catalyst to address these challenges through the implementation of National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs).
