Can blended finance help increase investment in southern Africa's community-based conservation?

Financing Nature and Development: Scaling up private investment in southern Africa’s community-based conservation

Dear colleagues

We share a common concern for increasing funding to nature conservation and development. I am now researching whether blended finance tools can help to increase the scale of private investment to community-based conservation in southern Africa.

I'm getting in touch with you - a knowledgeable stakeholder - to ask if you can please share your expertise via a brief survey

Your inputs will feed into a publicly-available inventory of blended investment options for community-based conservation in the region and my master’s dissertation. I will email the output to all contributors.

The survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete. As a small token of recognition for your time, I will donate ZAR 20 to the Peace Parks Foundation.

Responses are appreciated by Friday 17 July 2020, please.

Thank you for your consideration and support.

Kind regards,

Jessica Smith (BES, MA, MCom candidate)
