The report of the High-Level Panel on Global Assessment of Resources
discusses the resources required and costs to achieve the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and to achieve the Aichi
Biodiversity Targets by 2020. To some extent the report also identifies and explores possible sources of financing, such as
fiscal policy instruments, mainstreaming of biodiversity, reform of perverse subsidies, positive
incentives, role of the private sector, etc.

National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans: Pacific Regional Review

This 2007 Commonwealth Secretariat / SPREP review examines the current status of NBSAP development across 14 Commonwealth member nations in the South Pacific, and assesses the scales of actionable planning and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) protocols existing within these plans. The results of the review show that the status of NBSAP development and implementation in the selected Pacific member countries is varied; from some countries still awaiting funding to begin their NBSAP development process, to others that are busy undertaking implementation activities.
