Sarah Anyoti is a Programme Specialist and Team Leader for UNDP's Integrated Drylands Development Programme (IDDP), for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Ms. Anyoti brings 16 years of a multi‰ÛÒdisciplinary experience in development. She joined UNDP in 1998 as a Task Manager. In the present position she has effectively led and supported eight UNDP country offices (in Benin, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, and Uganda) and country partners to identify, formulate, manage and implement programmes within the IDDP framework, addressing capacity building, poverty reduction, natural resources management, sustainable land management (SLM), sustainable livelihoods, and resilience building.
She holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (M.PL), specialized in Land Use and Community Development from Queens‰Ûª University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada; a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural and Urban Planning, specialized in project planning and management techniques from the University of Zimbabwe; and a Licenciada en EconomÌ_a from La Universidad de Oriente, Santaiago de Cuba, Cuba.
