Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS)

I have been working with Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) as the Chief Executive since 2010. I am the founder of BEDS. I have a long working experience on environment and development sectors. More than 50 projects have been implemented under my leadership on Environment and Ecosystem; Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation; Clean/Solar Energy; Livelihoods; Wildlife Conservation and Protection; Health and Sanitation; Women and  Child Rights and Gender Development with the local people.  I have published more than 10 books and several articles. I received Annual Balipara Foundation Award in 2018 as my of grass-roots leadership recognition. I got 12th Fellow from the UNEP Eco-Peace Leadership Center at the Kangwon National University. South Korea. Under my leadership BEDS received the prestigious Government Divisional Environmental Award in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015; Energy Globe National Award in 2018 and one of the BEDS implemented projects "Eco Village in Bangladesh" has been selected to be showcased at Expo 2020 Dubai's Global Best Practice Program.

I am an environmental leader of Bangladesh; having more than 18 years working experience on environmental protection, wildlife conservation through education, advocacy, awareness campaign and livelihood improvement of the forest dwellers through sustainable use of natural resources, Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) with the coastal communities since 2000. I am young, energetic, dedicated and dynamic person on Sundarbans mangrove flagship ecosystem conservation and environment protection. I am one of the founder member of the Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) in 2010 ( for maintaining the ecological balance and create harmony between human and nature
