Biologist with more than 10 years of experience in conservation, sustainable development and climate change. He currently works as UNDP consultant, as massive open online courses for sustainable development writer and facilitator. Previously, he worked in different areas of the Mexican National Commission of Protected Areas (CONANP), engaging in topics as resilience, climate change, monitoring and decision-making processes, and sustainable development activities. He also collaborated with different institutions on the implementation of water education programs and developed and reviewed educational materials. Before that, Martin collaborated in a long-term monitoring program of small mammals and ants as bioindicators and coaching students in methods of research to develop their own projects. His interests are focused on the joint vision of development and conservation, protected areas as tools for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development and innovative schemes to face climate change and support biodiversity.
