Boracay Island is famous for being one of the world’s top destinations for relaxation. The uncontrollable over development and arrivals of tourists makes the island vulnerable to environmental degradation and is now becoming rampant. The carrying capacity of the island has reached its limits and it will bring the island to more serious problem in the future if the occurring issues will not be handled and mitigated.

Summary Week 3 - Introduction To Resilience For Development MOOC

During the third week of the “Introduction to Resilience for Development” MOOC participants enjoyed the presentation titled “Using participatory mapping for resilience assessments: implications for transformative change”, offered by Dr. Million Belay, of the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
